On July 11, 2011 the Rector released an updated academic calendar for the 2011-2012 academic year.  This calendar encompasses the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 timeline for courses as well as the courses offered for the Fall 2011 semester.  Active students should begin the registration process now in order to secure a space in their desired classes.

                    Summer Session Schedule Released
The 2011 Summer Session schedule of courses has been decided and published for active registration.  Since the summer session is a brief opportunity for study, course offerings are held on-site and taught in person by our faculty.  Summer Session 2011 will be hosted by the St. Francis Retreat Center in Easton, PA and cost for the entire week is inclusive of food, private accommodations, instruction, and course materials not including required texts.  For a list of offered courses, please review the Forms and Documents portion of the SJTB website.  For Summer Session costs, please refer to the Tuition and Fees portion of the SJTB website.  For all other questions, please contact the rector.

                    Partnership Announced
The Very Rev.  Jason C. Lody, FCM, Rector of St. John the Beloved Seminary, has announced a partnership with the Evangelical Catholic Church (ECC). Bishop James Alan Wilkowski of the ECC announced the decision following the church's National Conference and Retreat in Chicago. St. John the Beloved Seminary will now serve as an academic formation program for the ECC's candidates.

                    Admissions Update
Applications for the Spring session are currently being accepted by the seminary. Classes are beginning for new students pursuing both the Masters of Divinity degree as well as the Certification in Lay Ministry. The Masters of Divinity Degree is most typically for candidates preparing for ordained ministry; however, the program at St. John the Beloved is open to others as well. The Certification in Lay Ministry is a program designed specifically for lay people who are looking to better prepare themselves to minister within the Church.

                    Certification in Lay Ministry Announced
St. John the Beloved Seminary has announced a new Certificate of Lay Ministry program beginning in the Fall Session of 2010. "While St. John the Beloved has a special role within the American National Catholic Church for the formation of clergy, the seminary also has a strong desire to be an institution for all people, and this program certainly comes from that spirit," said  the Most Rev. George Lucey, FCM, President of St. John the Beloved. The Very Rev. Jason C. Lody, FCM, the seminary's rector, calls the program "a wonderful opportunity for any person looking to step out from the pew and into their faith in a deep and moving way."  Below is a flyer announcing our program!
